Our vision
His deeper love for us
Do we really understand God’s love for us?  Love that sacrifices more than we can ever really know.  A love deep enough to accept punishment for the crimes of others.  For Christ to be completely separated from God for us.
a deeper love for each other
“And the second is like it:  Love your neighbour as yourself.  All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments”
Would we lay down our lives for a friend?  Would we lay down our point of view?  Give up favourite hymns or songs and sing those that others find more helpful for worship? Do we know who the people in our Church are?  Their names, hopes, fears
and dreams?  Will we let them get closer to us and share our life?  Accept their love for us as well as learn to love them more?
a deeper love for others
And what about the rest of Panshanger?  Do we know and share their concerns?  Do we love them enough to care whether they know Jesus?
a deeper love
His infinite love.
And all we have to do is accept it. The only limits on what God can achieve in our lives are the ones we place on Him.
We believe that we should actively seek God’s will for His Church in Panshanger.
Each year the Church Council meet for a Vision Day to explore what we believe God is calling us to focus on during the following year. Last year we felt that God was calling us to pursue a deeper love.
The idea of a deeper love has been explored in Homegroups and sermons during last year.  We’ve been thinking around some of the following ideas:
a deeper love for God
“Jesus replied: Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.  This is the first and greatest commandment.”
