description and we can’t avoid the fact it will be for us likewise. But I do intend to make the experience as enjoyable and colourful as possible.
Prior to our time in St Albans where I was a curate and my training in Nottingham we worked abroad. My wife, Louise, and I spent five years in Zimbabwe and two in Kenya. I taught and Louise worked as an occupational therapist in the local hospitals.

It is a great privilege and at the same time a daunting prospect to be the new minister here at Panshanger.
On Saturday 6 September, I ‘arrived’ by light plane at the local airfield. This not only was a fun event, but a way of saying we are here to be with you all in the community and not to fly away for a considerable time.
Then on September 10th I was licensed and installed as the minister of the church. I see it as a commissioning for us all to be involved in the life of the church and its role in the community.

cricket for the Diocese. Apart from being the minister I have a number of other roles as taxi-driver, Hoover expert, bad dresser (despite a makeover!), curry aficionado, sad dad to my daughters (not all the time) and the world’s worst nightclub singer, you have been warned! We, not forgetting the gerbils and guinea pigs that also came with us, look forward to meeting you all.
Finally my prayer is that God through us all would build his church here in Panshanger and that we would increasingly know the depth, height and width of his love for us in Jesus.
Your local minister
Simon Moore
